I'm back and only a few hours late. Which I'm rather proud of considering the fickle winds we had the last few days. We had to heave-to just outside the inlet waiting on the tide (New Rivers a bit shallow and narrow especially at night). Over all it was a nice trip with a good mix of conditions. We didn't have to say "It's only fiberglass" so I consider it a success. Brad paid me so I guess he figured it was too. Though he didn't act that way last night and the day before when I wouldn't let him hook the GPS back up (yes I had my handheld in my shaving bag but I didn't want him to know I don't trust a sextant) but he was much happier when the inlet came in sight and it was the right one. Well he was till I sat down on the cabin top and draped my wet weather gear over the dodger so he couldn't see (I called it simulated fog). Well enough about the trip. I know listening to a sailor is like listening to a drunk or a gamer that tells you the whole story of a game they were once in. I'm going to sleep; then I'll try to catch up sunday. I see I've got a bit of reading to do. Hope I didn't hold anything up. -- Earl F Hampton http://hamiii.sytes.net/index.phtml
