"Great!" Jac says with a smile. He stands up and pulls Mira's chair back for her, "After you." The pair walk back out and down the stairs, passing a few people coming up to Carlissimo's. Jac and Mira stroll along the well lighted sidewalks through the old city. Jac points out University Halls and entrances to "quads" which would be empty this time of night, but would be teeming with students during the day. They stop at a sidewalk stand and buy a sweet pastry called a spolato that is served wrapped in crispy white paper and large stryrofoam cups of steaming coffee. The spolato is a spiral pastry and tastes of sugar and sweet fruits. There is a creamy center inside the coils of dough that has a slightly milky taste. The coils are segmented and can be pinched off, or bitten off, allowing for small bite sized pieces to be eaten. Sipping the coffee and eating small pieces of the spolato allows the pair to continue to stroll along, chat and enjoy their dessert. Leaving the lighted streets, Jac leads Mira into a park. The couple stroll along a gravel path in the park, past a small pond then past a large open field where people play and picnic during the day. By this time they have finished their dessert and drop the empty cups and paper wrappings into wastebaskets at the edge of the park. On the otherside of the park, you emerge just across from a large gothic Cathedral. There are lights inside, it appears a service of some sort is going on. You can hear the faint sounds of organ music coming from inside. On the street outside there are several cars parked, including a taxi. "Do you want to go in and listen?" Jac asks. Eris AKU
