"Oh, Jac! You scared them!" Mira chastizes, "Here, let me have a bit of the 
meat. Sit here quietly and maybe talk softly to them a bit. Their names, I 
believe, are Snu and Kiki."

She starts talking in soft coos to the two animals, pulling a chair 
alongside the cabinet to slowly pull herself to stand beside them.

"Hi, its me again," She says holding her meatless hand out, very slowly, 
"Come on, Jac didn't mean to scare you. He's quite nice, very gentle and 
loving once you get to know him, I promise."

If they freak out and run, she'll carefully offer the meat with her other 
hand, laying it on the palm and opening the hand so its flat against the 
cabinet.
