As April and Kelly exit the hatch they are struck by a fresh clean wind. It makes April's hair ripple back and even ruffles Kelly's short hair...it smells *good* to both of them. The port is next to a bay and the ship's hatch faces toward the water. The sun is low in the west shining red over a sea stained golden by the rays of the sinking sun. Clouds streaked with reds and pinks streak the sky as shadowed shapes whirl over the bay, some sort of sea birds circling and diving for their dinner into the golden waters. The gravity is a bit above normal, but an extra 15 to 20 pounds of weight isn't enough to bother you, and you'll adapt quickly. It *is* enough to make you feel a little clumsy as you start down the steps toward the tarmac below. You see a dark speck in the distance coming out of the sun. As you watch it grows larger and larger until it resolves itself as a huge starship. It's the /Mae Lee/ coming in for a landing at the port. She is a huge boxy ship with stubby wings, but in her own way graceful and beautiful. The thrumbing of her gravity drives fills the air drowning out the shrill cries of the birds over the bay.
