As Kelly and Hope near the fence the children and young teenagers start
calling out excitedly, "Hey lady! Hey mister!"
"Are you spacers?" one of them calls out.
"Of course, they're spacers, you dolt! Can't you see their uniforms?" a
girl answers elbowing the boy who called out.
You can hear them talking among themselves, "I'm gonna be a pilot when I
grow up. Yeah, well I'm gonna be the engineer, you can't fly until I
make the engines work! I won't have *you* on *my* ship. Yes, you will,
look they're coming over here!"
