"You're going to keep up the pretense, then?" the policeman says and shrugs.

Before he turns back to the front he says, "To humor you, we'll run your 
fingerprints and dna once we get to the station."

The car takes you away from the gambling hall. As you drive down the 
street you think you see the van that Jac had rented driving away down a 
side street.

Once at the police station you are subjected to more of this Maria Virgy 
nonsense. The officers all seem completely sure that you are this con 
woman, and you can tell that she is high on their "wanted" list...ripped 
off a local big fish, probably. 

Lysia is searched, not roughly, fingerprinted and a sample of her DNA is 
taken, her possessions are taken and she is placed in a holding cell by 
herself. Time drags on. It is nearing sun down and still no one has come 
to release her...or even question her.
