In all probability, because you're using Hotmail. It's left the Phoenyx servers for Hotmail. After that, it's out of our control. Hotmail may eventually deliver it to you (it may simply have been accepted by one of their servers that is more backlogged than the ones the followups happened to go to), may eventually bounce it back to us for obscure reasons, or may just eat it. While it doesn't look to be the infamous Hotmail Relay Error, the workarounds will still work: http://www.wirebird.com/firehawk/HotmailRelayError.html (The Phoenyx has almost no Hotmail users, and very few Yahoomail users, because of problems like this. We're running, last I checked, about 25% Gmail usage, which kind of scares me... single point of failure, you get what you pay for, and all that. But so far, Gmail hasn't been evil.
