I hope that my particular skills will be of >> >help to you." > > "Roger that," he says, heading towards the door. > Krikor holds the door for Sharda, then follows her out, and leads to the > 5-star Arbellatra. The trip involves taking another space taxi to another asteroid in this cluster. Krikor ruminates on the effort it took to move the rocks in this belt together into several tight clusters. He also knows that several have been completely hollowed out and others, in a different cluster, have been developed into massive agricultural centers. Glisten, although it has no planets in the life zone, is completely self-sufficient when it comes to food, even exports food stuffs. Of course, Glisten still imports luxury foods, but if they have to they can survive on the genetically adapted grains, vegetables, fruits grown in system. Krikor and Sharda see there is lots of traffic here among the rocks of the Blisten cluster. There are taxis, boats and freight carriers whipping about among the large lighted jewels which are the rocks themselves. Once the taxi docks and Krikor pays the pair walk the short distance from the docking area to The Arbellatra. Standing outside the large double plexiglass doors you both look up and see the heroic sized mosaic done in tile of a young Arbellatra showing her long before she became Arbellatra I. Here she is still dressed in the uniform of an Imperial Navy Admiral...both of you have seen this very image in history books. > "You ever stay here?" he asks her as they near. > She shakes her head just a bit. "Not personally, no...but I have met > several mercantile contacts here down through the years." Outside the double doors a group of uniformed attendants help the rich and famous from their vehicles, hold up the doors for those entering and exiting, and generally keep an eye on things. The door is opened for you and you are welcomed to the Arbellatra. Once inside you look across a broad lobby at the long desk where several people are working at computer terminals. In the lobby there are several sofas, chairs and tables. Most are grouped together and surrounded by tall plants and decorative panels, tapestries, and curtains turning them into semi-private conversation areas. Eris Akus Moby
