This exchange draws a smile from the woman behind the counter, "We here at the Arbellatra are well acquainted with Lord Percy Dubose and his...um, shall we say, currant companion." She glances down at the terminal screen in front of her and taps the keys a time or two and then says, "Lord Percy is in his suite and...it seems his guest is not." She looks up, "At least, someone using her guest pass came down from Lord Percy's suite and exited the hotel about 45 minutes ago." "If you give me a moment, I will cut guest passes to Suite 14b." she says as she types on the terminal, "If you would each insert a finger into the slot..." indicating the depression next to her console. A few seconds later you each have a guest pass in the form of a plastic card that will allows you to go from the lobby to Lord Percy's floor and return using the hotel lifts. Although, the electronic passes limit a guests movement inside the private areas of the hotel, and will continually track your movements, they are easily subverted and thus aren't *much* use as a security measure. Cameras, motion detectors, and both robotic and sophent based security teams are certainly all in play here, just kept discreetly behind the scenes. "If you need a bellman to assist in moving his lordship's luggage, call down to the desk and we will send up someone to help you." she says to you as you start toward the lifts to the right of the counter. The small lift is more of a people mover in that it moves in 3 dimensions rather than just up and down. The lift won't move until one of you slides your guest pass into the slot, and then the lift will move *only* to the area of the warren like hotel premitted on the pass. OOC: I keep pausing to give you guys room to post comments and such. If you have nothing much to say, just post "nothing much"...no, I don't mean *literally* nothing much ;)...and we'll keep going.
