And somewhere on the passenger deck a lonely, and not quite
drunk, Lord
Percy is fiddling around with nothing constructive to occupy his
mind or
hands.
Captain Krikor strides back into the commons and sees his
assembled crew
seated around tables drinking Paris' tea and eating
sandwiches...and
waiting to hear from him...
"Right, then. I'll arrange deliveries for the morrow, after we
offload the
local shipments," he says with a nod to Sharda, "so you'll need to
finalize
those arrangements. Also begin looking for the next leg. After I
make
those call, we can go relax a bit. Tomorrow then we can use the
ship to
touch the various points we need to, collect payments, and see
about selling
our cargo. I guess you have that one too, Sharda," he adds with a
grin.
"Once we sell the stuff, we'll be able to afford some of the other
items,
like your upgrades, Dez, and restocking."
He looks around at the gathered crew. "I'm thirsty. What say we
grab his
lordship and go hit the local watering hole? I'm taking the
steward out for
dinner tomorrow, so someone else will have to have Percywatch."
"I think I can stay and entertain Lord Percy; tomorrow, I've asked for Bart to take Lord Percy fishing..."
Paris smiled at Bart. "...and he said he would consider it." She consulted her omnipresent datapad. "This will give me some time to reinventory and begin restocking--Captain, what is our next destination so I can start trawling for pax once again--also, if anyone needs some laundry done that hasn't been, I can amuse myself that way as well."
She smiled at the crew.
