This should be more than simply not working.  I would think for a failure
this huge the catapults would blow up in their faces and most of the
catapult force is destroyed.  Or Aryisa learns of their planned attack and
the catapult units are infiltrated and destroyed.  Or a traitor is among
them and sabotaged the artillery units killing many Razanians, and the
traitor is still not found or even known of.  Perhaps the traitor is more
then a few men but a whole unit of soldiers or something.
