[Cel] Turanus player on vacation

Tom,

I had previously sent the attached final results. I know that you
disagreed w/ some of my comments. I believe I had sent them to Juuso
for comments if any and I do not remember seeing a reply.
I am again sending your last two notes and my results to you, Juuso
& Jason to see if they would suggest any changes. I also note between
your last two messages below, some differences in your numbers. You
might want to send me or Jason/Juuso a note clearing up any differences
or just use my attachment and make your comments directly there. I am
always willing to listen to another point of view, I am still on the
learning curve right alongside everyone else.
Hopefully, we will get this all straightened up before you run away,
you lucky man. :-)

Joel

hey Joel,

Heres Turanus,

Relnik truly enjoyed living in Turanus. His power was
gone and his rightful place disposed but there was
something decidedly wicked about living in the lap of
luxery. As archreplate he had never known the comforts
of a 30 course feast, a full length alabaster tub, and
serving girls, oh those serving girls. At the moment
he was enjoying yet another hot bath, and Rebecca.
Life was indeed full of sweet suprise.

"Relnik you fat bastard Get out of the tub" was
bellowed from his solar. It could only be that
ignoramus Beric.

"Wait here sweets, Ill be back in a moment"

He slipped on his robe and left the pleasures at hand
for the business that needed to be done.

To his great suprise Beric was not alone as was his
usual custom. He had brought with him 2 of the lesser
house heads, Gandor and Wently, along with Senn
Polari, perhaps the most powerful trader in the World.
"What is the meaning of this? Why have you come here.
Is it finally time for me to take back Keland. You
have promised me retribution."

"It seems that we will in fact have some retribution"
replied Beric. "Those rat pirates have betrayed us. It
seems that Northmarch became suspicious of the
onesided nature of the pirate raids. They offered a
good price for information connecting us to the raids.
It seems in true pirate fashion some weasal went for
the easy kill. Hes probably lord of some desolate rock
by the sea. When we find him he will wish he had never
left his mothers womb."

"So what are we going to do? It seems that its time to
step up our actions"

"Oh we shall. We shall, but word of our indescretion
is dangerous. The pirates are a dangerous lot and any
dealings with them goes against international law. We
can not afford to feel a backlash from Reyclean and
Dragorthia, Aunderli, and Tasleth. They scream for
blood and i mean to give it to them." Polari had the
look of a man who would be a ruthless adversary. Up
until the moment Beric streaked the knife across his
throat, Relnik was glad that such a man was his
friend"

Five men burst through the bedroom door and took hold
of both Wently and Gandor. "Beric - Report to the city
watch that we have arrested the men behind the pirate
scheme. It was unfortunate that we were unable capture
them before they killed our dear compatriot Relnik. He
ate too much of my food and was a piss poor
investment. See that Gandor and Wently are found
guilty and executed. You may send their heads to that
swine up north." On his way out he shot back "oh yes,
and kill the girl. My part in this will have no
witnesses".

-------------------------------------------------------
The heads of Wently and Gandor are sent to Northmarch.
Relnik gets the huge state funeral that is deserved of
such an honored guest of the city. While Relniks part
in the maneuver is not questioned the fact of obvious
Turani involvement has extremely negative affects on
the relationship with Keland/Northmarch. It is hoped
that the arrest and execution of the perpertrators
will appease the other nations as to the guilt of the
Turani government.

moves should come soon

action 1
increase warfleet
yr 2-5
difficulty- medium†

Continue to increase the warfleet. A huge proportion
of the building is moved outside the main harbor
defence system.

+1 This proposal has tons of support from the
population. Fear of Keland attack has the population
itching for better protection
+1 the merchant houses see the new fleet as an
investment. If tensions with keland do escalate than
it will be easy to take over there shipping lanes
after We destroy there entire fleet
-1+1+1(0000)=+1 Shipbuilding is started successfully,
but there is much work to be done. (
†

†

action 4:
start a free trade propoganda
difficulty hard
yr 1-3†

†

+ the houses spend the necessary funds to initiate a
propoganda program & bribe officials
-1 bureacracy insnt likely to give these concessions
any time soon
+1-1-1(++0-)=0 While some Alorian officials are
willing to take bribes, none are in a position to
influence taxes. Also, many Alorian officials feel
that enough tax concessions were granted in recent
times to encourage Turanus to come back into the fold.
