Celandra is a game in which the players take the roles of societies, rather than playing individual characters. The players will invent a society with its culture and heritage, and will guide its development and interaction with the world. Emphasis will be be placed on developing a detailed history of Celandra, along with myths and legends.

[Ely] [Cel][Actions-Results] Aunderli 2844 - 2nd draft results

Aunderli 2844

The Council had been assembled since the early hours to discuss the
problems plaguing both Hospital and University. Several solutions had
been forwarded. Standing up Advisor Erwec had just started to advise
those assembled when a Soldier came bursting through the Council
doorway.
"Mylords terrible news a gigantic wave has hit our Southerly coast
line." "Soldier, waves continually hit our coast, what was so special
about this one." "Mylord it was higher then the walls of Codel, and has
swamped much of our coast. I say it as my patrol reached Samande Hill,
it was terrible Codel is swamped much of it knocked over as if match
sticks. Fishing villages have been swept away Mylord it was as if the
gods themselves had swept their arms against our coast."
Taking charge Aldewulf sent advisers to begin gathering Supplies,
Doctors/Druids, and manpower. The remaining ones were given coastal
regions under which they would take charge of rescue and clean up.
Aldewulf himself took 100 men with supplies and rode swiftly to Codel,
what his eyes beheld shook him to the soul. Codel had been half
flattened, domestic animals and people lay strewn about like discarded
dolls. The survivors were too shell shocked to even help themselves.
Taking charge he commandeered one of the few standing Warehouses and
turned it into a medical facility. Of his Troops they were ordered to
round up every able bodied man, start pilling large Pyres to Shiri and
burn all corpses found.
"But Mylord that would require huge amounts of timber"
"Captain look around you, where do you not see huge amounts of timber"
By morning the first of the relief caravans arrived and under medical
guidance more permanent housing for the sick and wounded were
constructed. By the end of the first week reports from along the coast
were arriving revealing a horror of damage, but a Horror that could
easily have been worst, fortunate indeed that Aunderli with its
plentiful woodland game relied little on the sea for food thus apart
from Codel no other settlements were this far South, thus escaping the
Monstrous wave.
As the second week arrived reports were also coming in from the Aunderli
Colonies, neither were good but as before could have been worse. With
the remaining fleet supplies were sent to the Confederacy and Colonies.
A praise indeed that most of the fleet for security reasons had been
placed in Ardos and Kentol Habour up North.
Then on the Tenth day Advisor Corans approached Alderwulf. "Mylord I
have a proposal which might seem cold at the moment but which may be for
the betterment for the survivors later."
"I like not your introduction to this proposal of yours...continue"

"Well Mylord the Colonies have suffered greatly due to this wave, would
it not be just and fair to provide passage to those in Aunderli itself
who have lost everything in exchange for the chance to start afresh with
Aunderli support in a place where memories are not so potent"
"Hmm..Logically this does make sense, I shall proclaim it across
Aunderli starting here, with the fleet returning next week fitted for
such a project...Hmm why not. You will be in-charge Corans, our marine
force shall remain with the fleet as protection."

Action1 & 2 (2844 - 2849) Dealing with disaster
+1 Aunderli has a well trained & practiced emergency system.
** Difficulty – Very Hard -2) I think this disaster in general was
defined as a –2 for most societies) **
+1 Council is putting its whole focus on the rescue rebuilding action
+1 Extra action
+1 Most of the Aunderlian fleet survived unscathed thus allowing swift
emergency supplies to reach those in need quickly
** -2+1+1+1+1(0+00)=+3 The forest fires and other disasters had prepared
the Aunderli emergency forces well. +1 towards emergency operations and
rebuilding for the next 3 years. **

 Action 3&4 (2844)
** Difficulty – Very Hard -2) I think this disaster in general was
defined as a –2 for most societies) **.
+1 Financial incentive given to now homeless/jobless citizens
+1 Fleet mostly intact and in effect carrying on what they have been
doing
+1 Councils approval
+1 extra action
0 – People’s reluctance to be uprooted again. (first by storm and now by
King, the people of Aunderli are an independent lot. Question is what
other options do they have, their homes are destroyed, their jobs
non-existent. Families are usually close by so no real help there as
they themselves have been hit. Really they have 2 options stay and try
to rebuild their lives or take up the offer of a new home w/ financial
help.)
+2 modifier
** -2+1+1+1+1(-+00)=+2 Those who survived the tsunami gather what they
can find of their meager belongings and head towards the ships to start
a new and hopefully better life. **

* NOTE:- Actions extending into this year have been put on hold until at
least next year
