Incoming narrative: Canto of Dust, Opus One. Aprox. word count 8,500. Also incoming: swf attachment map of Qai. If it works, it should be scalable and make keeping track of where everything is a bit easier. (Aprox. 3000 k.bytes) I know, I know--I'm late. It just gets worse from here for a while. For those who care, I leave tomorrow for Columbus, OH and then on to Wisconsin for GenCon. If anyone happens to be up that way, I'll be on the first floor ballroom, feel free to drop by. This means I'll be out of touch until at least August 7. (Sadly, this means another two week delay before I post the next chapter. On the other hand, CoD-1 is almost big enough to be two chapters on its own.) Rumor has it that Scott Kurtz will be dropping in this year and I know for certain that Ed Beard, Jr. will be upstairs in the display hall (fourth floor, I think). Tons of other folks too. Other notes: Special thanks are due. This was a tough chapter for me to get through. There was a lot of reworking and I had some health problems as well. So, extra credit to: SB2 (or 4 or 6, every time I turn around there's another one and that's a good thing) for emotional support, Sir J.G. Frazer for technical support, and, of course, my wife for not killing me. M.
