In another game world I have there's a major distinction between "bound" spirits who are tied to places and objects and "free" spirits who are not so tied. (Hmmm, this may be one distinction between eerith and valerian come to think of it.) It strikes me that eerith are "bound" spirits who were freed involuntarily, and thus are either "subconsciously" (whatever that may mean for a spirit) willing to be bound again or have vestigial "ties" which can be used to bind them. In either case an eerith who fully accepts his freedom would be much harder to bind. (Just a thought.)
