New style of magic? In principle, for the Mir Archmage, establishing a 
new chair is
just an administrative detail. However, I have the impression that the 
Mirrish
mages are somewhat set in their ways. On the other hand, recent decades have
erroded that attitude somewhat. Mir has a strategic action right now that
deals with researching a new kind of magic. Still, it would need to be
clarified somewhat just how Esquaestio magic differs from the Mirrish
magics. An interesting discussion.
