The Noble House of Mir
Mir, like many of the nations that have emerged around Midsea both past
and presant, has its own Noble Houses. The rise of the Nobles houses of
Mir dates back into antiquity. The early records of the Kingdom of
Puramyr state that the various cheiftans had become the nobles of that
early kingdom. More nobles were added with the conquest of southern
confederation.
Over the centuries the numbers of Houses slowelly decreased until about
1200 BE when the number of Houses became stable and was constant until
941 BE. The House went through various stages of power through the
Kingdom Age. During the reign of King Loraces XXI the House held little
power over the King. One of the reason was the Kings strong
personality, the loyalty of the Sorcerers, and latter in life the
military. When King Loraces XXI weak son, King Loraces XXII, came to
the throne the various noble houses sezed the chance to take power. The
records idicate that it a colition between several of the more powerful
house that helped lead to the execution of the Archmage Jaipatha in
hopes of destorying the Sorcerers power.
The Houses had not counted on the reaction of the citzens of
Mirabalpur. The citzens, with the help of five Noble Houses, stormed
the Palace, killed the King, and crowned King Dioya, Loraces brother.
With the Kings fall all of the Houses that had not united with
population were stripped of their nobility in what became known as the
Noble Purge.
Since that time these five houses have kept their statues as noble
house. During the Ages of Sorcery, and Isolation, the Imperial Age
their have been several merchant familes that emmerged, and with the
restoration of the Royal Family a couple of new house have been granted
Nobility. These noble house since the Nobles Purge though have been
subject to Sorcerers and have been little more then governors for the
territories their family was assigned. With the addition of Yora'Timar
