Celandra is a game in which the players take the roles of societies, rather than playing individual characters. The players will invent a society with its culture and heritage, and will guide its development and interaction with the world. Emphasis will be be placed on developing a detailed history of Celandra, along with myths and legends.

Yes, but since it's just supposed to give a rough idea of the relative 
positions of the two areas I don't see that as a problem.  While it would be 
interesting to run the maps through a graphics program to turn their 
equal-area projections into conformal projections, I doubt the results would 
be worth the effort.
