I don't have many, I'm afraid. I agree, though, that it's a concern--but on the other hand, fewer players makes processing actions go faster. Part of the problem is that PBEMs have been losing ground to MMORPGs for years, I think; but another part of it is that, let's face it, Interactive History is a little esoteric. We've created (especially in the last year or so) a dense, interlocking mythos which is spread out over at least four webpages and countless emails. This can make it it hard for outsiders to come in: a newbie joins up and says "I want to do 'X'" only to be told that he or she can't because 'Y' happened ten game years ago. One thing which we might consider: as Jason said in his "Movers and Shakers" post, we're about to hit 50 game years. Perhaps we should take a hiatus to spend some time concentrating *all* Celandran information onto the Main Phoenyx pages, updating and reorganizing as needed. As it stands, a new player looking for a culture to play would go to the Tripod pages, and the Cultural information there is seriously out of date. Also, we might want to put a link to the Celandra Archives in a prominent place on the Qaiyore pages. We should also consider updating our blurb on the Phoenyx Game page, and we perhaps should try to forge more connections with the greater Phoenyx gaming community.
