I am going apologies in advance if I offend anyone.  This is not ment for any one person.
 
Andrew did you check with the Vraa'al player about this.  The part about the Empress escaping is part of your society, but the rest is Vraa'al players society and with a +2 result it may not have happened.  So unless Juuso says that this is an event it is up to the Vraa'al player and not any of us, since they are part his society and not ours (with the exception of the Empress, and even her child is something both of you proble would need to talk about), and the players is allowed to create factions in their own country to play against each other if they want.
 
It is one thing to make these statments about what a none player society does since the society would still do something in certian events even if they are not being played, but I strongly feel that once a society is being played we need to respect the players desions about their society, and not make these statements about what their society does, unless of course it is Juuso with an event, result or a ruling.
 
Now I am completly fine with these stories in responce to other countries actions/results, or were your country is strongly or even not so strongly involved in the actions.  Since these are written in responce to actions or you are involved, (and honestly it can be a pain to have to run a story by a player before sending it to the list, especially since there are only five of us, and since half of us are usally involved in the stories) these stories just expanded on what has already been determined and not add new major elements or take the society in a direction we feel it should go instead of the way Juuso or the players feels it should go.  
 
Again sorry, this not ment to be aimed at you Andrew, but at all of us.  I also ask that if I do it to tell me.

Here's another event, of a sort. As a consequence of the Vraa'al actions 
in 1454, many of the High Lord's supporters and family find it 
convienient to 'disappear' and leave Arelcar. Empress Yzara and Prince 
Barnardus manage to escape the Island on the Imperial Postal Service's 
regular mail boat from Thalsedon, along with a few other humans, 
Vraa'al, and human-Vraa'al halfbreeds. The Empress's return to Sedonia 
hands the Government a political hot potato during a hotly contested 
election year.
