Ibrahim, I just took a serious look at the Panchayyah population numbers, and I think you may have made a mistake. The areas on the population table are in square miles, but you have the Panchayyah numbers as square kilometers. Converting, that's 10,800 square miles and a density of 104 per square mile. Now, that area seems right, but the density seems off. How would you feel about setting the population to 500,000 as of 1458? (FYI, I just ran across some numbers for eastern native american tribes in the 18th century. The major tribes, those little affected by disease and war, were numbered in the 3,000 to 6,000 range.)
