Zelkor Turn Two Year 1459 Action One Defense! Zelkor will spend one action maintaining it's excellent defenses. The system of communication by using flags that was developed last turn will be maintained, as will the system of wartime beauracy and bookkeeping. The only thing to note about this are the following: the forces will withdraw slightly into an area that is easier to defend, a system of rations will be developed to deal with dwindling supplies, and production of goods will slow down to almost a halt with every citizen being asked (actually forced under Marshall law) to help in what ways they can (digging ditches to allow sewage to leave the city, starting relief hospitals etc.) The only difference in troop movements will be given below. Difficulty: Easy Fudge Points: 0 The Defenders of Zelkor: Professional Force Force : Superb Size : Fair The Legion of the Muster Provisional Force Force : Great Size : Fair Action Two Prince Ean Arracht's Ultimatum As promised in a letter send in Boloth (fall) the prince will unleash his plan against the cedonese, only it's assuredly not what they expected... The prince will NOT ride out to meet the Cedonese as he promised on 11 Sholoth in the spring, but rather will have spent the winter preparing all ships merchant, military or otherwise to be ready for combat. This will have been done as discreetly as possible. In the dawn of 10 Sholoth the Zelkori navy will quietly slip to sea, with the intention of attacking the northern coasts along Vienia and raiding north. This assault force, while it has a definite mission (see action three) will also TOTALLY destroy any Cedonese ships they encounter, military or otherwise. If possible, the force will brutalize any enemies they encounter on the seas even going so far as to send ships full of Cedonese corpses crashing into the Vieinian coast as an example to the Cedonese, or other such hideous acts. The main Cedonese army outside Zelkor will hopefully be distracted waiting to see the prince ride out and deliver the justice he promised (See letter in previous post). The remaining Zelkori army within the city will be rested and prepare to hold against a Cendonese assault which is sure to come... (remember all those defensive measures I've been trying to take Jason!) If you could please roll the determinants (the sea attack) for this action first, as it effects the next one directly! The Mariners League Professional force of Sailors and Soldiers Force : Legendary Size : Fair Difficulty: Normal / hard Fudge Points: 0 Action Three & Four Raiding North! Aside from attacking any Cedonese ships the fleet will head swiftly north to the Vieinian port of Vizor. The only unusual thing to note about the fleet is that it will be carrying some of the Vinzian nobles in exile, the exiled nobles who have been bothering the prince to go war with Cedonia will finally get their revenge! (well hopefully...) The fleet will head north to Vizor taking the city by surprise (hopefully) and attempt to get the Vieinian sympathizers to revolt! On the way to Vizor the fleet will raid the coast in attempt to get more Vinzian sympathizers to revolt as well. The nobles will be instrumental in acquiring sympthizers using whatever combination of cunning, charisma, nationalism, or intelligence they have, the Prince of Zelkor will not be happy to see them if they fail... If the fleet manages to get into the town, Cedonian officials will be publicly killed, and Cedonian statues and building razed. Once it is obvious things are in state of revolt then the fleet will return to Zelkor with whatever supplies they have raided. The Vinzian nobles will be left in Vizor with the promise Zelkor's help in the future so long as they bring an army of revolutionaries to the Cedonian armies rear! Please note that I am not actively attacking, trying to destroy, or otherwise invest a LOT of time in Vizor, I am simply raiding it, if the raid goes poorly the fleet will leave to do other things, the prince does not mean for this to be a long or ongoing commitment. It is mostly a chance to deploy the Vinzian nobles in exile, steal or loot much needed supplies, and strike fear into the Cedonese.
