Hi all, Spent a fair of time this weekend doing some stuff on Kaeir (thats what happens when you get a job way out in the countryside, not much else to do hehe). I've made an estimate of possible Millati numbers. It won't include all countries/regions, as i dont have numbers for some areas, but it should cover most significant areas. Commonwealth of the Shanariyya (pop 650000) - 100%/650,000. Separate Shanari tribes (pop 500000) - 80%/400,000 (though many of these tribes have nominally accepted the Millat, even if only to avoid conflict with the Commonwealth). Kaeir: Isles (pop 125,000) - 60%/75,000 (the majority being urban, but penetration of the native countryside is progressing). Rimriver (pop 5000) - 80%/4000 (almost completely Kaeirean, officially no Panchayyah converts). Tirmaeir (pop 680,000) - 80%/544,000 (Tirmaeir is the Millati heartland in Kaeir). Saltrim (pop 250,000?) - 50%/125,000. Milakanur (pop 1,080,000) - 30%/324,000 (the Millati underground church, the old Millati community in Qaiyore, officially does not exist, and estimates are definitely not certain). Aixelsydan (pop. 800,000) - 5%/40,000 (limited to the coastal towns). Bel'Adne (pop. 11,300,000) - 30%/3,390,000 (this would make the Bel'Adnese the largest Millati community by far. Mirrish Yora'Timar (pop 600,000) - 5%/30,000. Mirrish Tal Basin (pop 250,000) - 5%/12,500. Morvali (165,000) - 70%/115,000. Sedonian Upper Tal (pop. 250,000) - 5%/12,500. This gives an approximate total of 5.76 million Millati. A medium-sized number, but not impossible given the fact that the Millati faith spreads through 2 different sects (Marlupinism and Arlhanism), which allows the religion to adapt to local circumstances. Thus, Marlupinism has been the more popular in regions such as Yora'Timar, Sedonian Timar, and Milakanur, why Arlhanism has dominated Kaeir, the Shanari, the Morvali and Bel'Adne. Regions not included due to lack of stats/or uncertainy on status: Sedonian Timar (some penetration would have occurred so far, but the recent Sedon-Kaeirean agreement will probably see far more conversions soon. Wyr Union (the Millat have already begun deeply influencing peoples of the Wyr river, the Millat having spread to them through the Morvali). Kelshiri Valley (decades of Shanari influence, and the incorporation of theUpper Kelshir into the Commonwealth, has seen considerable penetration by the Millat). Kelshiri Plains (some penetration by the Millat through their mountain cousins, and Shanari traders, though influence is far less). Protectorate of Corryn (through Morvali influence, Corryn has the highest Millati population by % in Taltheran after Saltrim). Rhudyn (the Millat was introduced by Kaeirean traders who frequent the Rhudyn coast, but only limited conversion to the Millat has been seen). Terebuani (like the Kelshiri Plains and the Rhudyn, contact with neighbouring Millati peoples has seen some limited influence). What is most interesting is that the Shanari and the Kaeireans, the earliest two nations to publically adopt the Millat (Milakanur being a special case), are in the numerical minority. Almost half the Millati population is now to be found in Bel'Adne, a fact that will definitely start to have an influence on northern Qaiyore affairs, and the Millati faith and community. Finally, these are estimates, with my own speculation and comments attached. Let me know if any of you disagree, or have something to say.
