Aryisa (+3): The Asagmari of Aryisa recover fastest from the great hurricane of 1464, and take advantage of the disruption it caused to expand their territory. The Razanian kingdoms of Tesh, Sayn, and Non fall to Aryisa, as does all of Taranta up to the west bank of the Taranta river. Milakanur (+1): Raban of House Shawar is named Master Scourge, commander-in-chief of Milakanur's army and navy. Raban is related by blood to both the legendary Master Scourge Labon, hero of the Sinari War, and to Famiyyun the Conveyor. He shows signs of equalling or exceeding Labon's military talent, and like both of his relatives, he has considerable personal charisma. He is placed in charge of the forces being sent by Milakanur to aid Aixelsydan. Mir (-3): An earthquake strikes Mirabalpur. There is extensive damage throughout the city, and many buildings suffer extensive damage, including the University and the Palace of Sorcery. Archmage Eubratos is struck by falling masonry which breaks his back at the level of the third lumbar vertebra, and both his legs. While he survives the experience thanks to his own powers and immediate medical aid, he will never be able to walk unassisted again, requiring a wheelchair, crutches, a walker, or some form of magical enhancement. Hria (+1): A strange shipwreck is found washed up on Hria's coast. According to the rumors which filter down the caravan routes, no human bodies were found on board, only strange creatures made of metal. Collectors of curiosities from around the MidSea flock to Bega in hopes of seeing or purchasing artifacts from the wreck, but the Hrian government confiscates all the real artifacts, resulting in a thriving trade in forgeries. There are also rumors of survivors, but absolutely no proof. ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send mail to celandra-off@phoenyx.net.
