Well another source for info is Bloode Island by Deep 7. it is a PDF (about $8) which has a 7 point skill and trait scale that is easily convertible to a fudge game. Run out the Guns by ICE (oop) is another good source for info and maps.

If you can get past the furries, furry pirates is an rpg that from what I hear is full of info. I have browsed through it and it does look pretty interesting.

7th Sea is an Ok source if you are looking for an alternate world setting but if you really want Caribbean pirates and going to transfer to fudge mechanics I don't think it is worth the cash outlay for what you get.

OK, a friend has expressed an interest in a swashbuckling pirate
adventure. Something akin to maybe Treasure Island or The Princess
Bride. Has anyone done a 5-point fudge for the genre? Any good
resources out there? Particularly for cinematic, swashbuckling fights
and naval combat. Historical references would be good too. I was
thinking of trying to get my hands on a copy of GURPS Swashbucklers.
Can anyone (*cough*cough*) comment on whether it is any good?
