Star Trek Borg question

I was thinking of running a Star Trek RPG with a Borg scenario, and I had an
idea about the Borg personal defenses. Mainly that the Borg cannot defend
against everything at the same time, which is why phasers are still
effective against the Borg when first used against them.
If you use kinetic weapons (bullets), soon, the shielding will adapt to
deflect them. If you then switch to a phaser, it will eventually block the
phaser. And by switching to a disrupter, it will sooner or later block the
disrupter. HOWEVER, I believe then the kinetic weapon would be useful again
since the Borg have not been attacked by it in a bit.

The question is: What happens if you have a mixed combat team, some with
kinetics, some disrupters, and some phasers? As all the weapons are going in
at once, would the Borg be overwhelmed?

And what about larger missile weapons - crossbows, for instance. Would a
Borg shield be able to stop a weapon that massive? (Or grenades for that
matter)
