I feel guilty for disturbing the silence on this list. I hope everyone is still around. I'm looking for some collaborators to co-develop an RPG setting based on mythic Rome and Europe in the 5th and 6th centuries. Its a concept I've tooled around with for a number of years and, having just shelved my most recently running campaign, I finally have the time to give it some attention. The general concept is that an ethereal reality coexists with the mundane world. This second reality, the Netherworld, mirrors the natural mundane world but does not bear the mark of mankind. The inhabitants of the Netherworld are the anthropomorphic ideals of animals, supporting the classic myths of sphinxes, satyrs and the like. The Netherworld also bears the marks of an ancient Atlantis-like civilization dominated by Minotaur symbolism. Some artifacts of this civilization also exist in the mundane world and act as gates. The crossover is subtle and unwary travellers may find they have crossed over without realizing it. I've done an extensive amount of work integrating the existence of magic with real-world historical events, religions, philosophies and the like. My goal is to develop the setting and make it freely accessible via a website. The material will be presented independent from any specific rule system and made freely available. I've developed a concept of the website and published it for any who might be interested. You can find the URL for it below. I really want this to be a professional quality affair, so a fondness for history and penchant for writing and detail are welcome attributes. If anyone is interested, please email me privately. http://www.rightmindinc.com/trojan Thanks (is there an echo in here?), Brian Koppi chikoppi@21stcentury.net ---------------------------------------------------------------- GMAST Home Page: http://www.phoenyx.net/gmast/
