It appears that what was predicted from the time the Hasbro buy-out of
Wizards of the Coast has finally happened.

Pyramid is reporting "massive layoffs" there (Pyramid subscribers can
get the story at
) and John
Kovalic reported on his fan mailing list that Peter Adkinson (sp?) has
resigned over this.  Also in the Pyramid report is that the former
Last Unicorn employees were given an ultimatum last week of either
moving to Seattle or being laid off.  The rumor is that some did not
choose to relocate.

Given that Hasbro has been having trouble lately, having just sold off
their computer games division, this was not in any way surprising.
WOTC has been luckly to have been overlooked in the last several
rounds of Hasbro's cost cutting, apearently someone finally noticed
them.
