(Food) Gamers need three meals a day ...

Well, we eat because we're hungry. We usually play through at least one
meal (lunch) and frequently two (lunch and dinner). Especially our all-day
Runequest sessions, which start at around 12 and end when the GM starts
yawning really hard, which can be any time from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am.

We deal with this in two ways. If we're playing at the University gamer's
space, we order pizza, Chinese food, chicken, ribs, etc. (This last is
unpopular with some people because it's messy. I just bring lots of hand
wipes.)

If it's at someone's house, it's much more elaborate, because two of us (one
of which is me) really like to cook. I think our Fourth of July Picnic and
All-Day Runequest Game was the most decadent: I brought cold roast chicken
with lemon and rosemary, potato salad, and fruit; our other cook brought
marinated salmon, asparagus, and pasta salad; we all cooperated on Ben and
Jerry's ice cream (several flavors), wafers, pickles, artichoke hearts,
cherry tomatoes, cheese, etc. I'm pretty sure I left something out. Did I
mention the Sam Adams and the Woodchuck Cider?

Oh, and we snack too. (In fact, on occasions like the above, we graze all
afternoon and evening.)

uncritical audience)
