Doesn't take an ocean to make it difficult... the cost of flying half-way
across the US will deter a lot of people. Doesn't matter if the ticket's
$200 or $800... if you don't have the $200 and accomodation expenses, you
just don't have it. I wanted to go to GenCon and the Gathering this year,
but couldn't find the funds.
That _is_ an interesting idea, though... if we can drum up enough support
to make it worth-while, maybe we'll have a Gathering on your side of the
pond. Tickets to London are only about $700 round-trip, just for
reference. Might have to take up a collection to get Karen and I there,
though. But I wouldn't mind saving up for a trip to Europe. :)
