Fudge Factor, the Fudge e-zine, has been experimenting with Google Ads (nb: though it shares a server, it's out at fudgefactor.org and thus exempt from the Phoenyx vow of poverty... still no ads *here*, no matter how benign Google ones are), and one of the things that comes up frequently is MMORPG ads (mostly gold farmers). I jokingly said that FF was now contributing to the downfall of Roleplaying As We Know It, and was quickly corrected by a person or two who took me all serious and stuff. (Possibly I should disclaim all my posts, I dunno.) However, in a fit of synchronicity, Mike Mearls' journal pointed to this link: http://www.nickyee.com/daedalus/archives/001496.php Don't miss pages 2-4, since that's where the RPG stuff is. I'd've liked to have seen "Do you still play RPGs" as a followup question, though. -- Karen J.
