Which sentiment probably just means I'm old. (I didn't have a political- activist period in my college years, though. As my mother often points out, I was *born* an old lady.) At any rate, John Kim had some interesting things to say about authority vs authorship in one of his blog entries, and I kind of wonder if that isn't the sort of thing that discussions like this conflate.
