[Search Party] "We've searched most of the tower, let's investigate the cellars", announces Kylar in military fashion. Down, then, to the dimly lit chambers beneath the great hall. The first room is the kitchen. At first it all looks perfectly normal, great copper pans and kettles, meat hanging from hooks, sacks of potatoes. The congealed grease on some pans in a stone basin suggest no washing up has been done for a few days. A dead body on the floor is not what one would normally expect to find, but under the circumstances, it's sadly predicable. "Kevas the cook", says Jorg sadly, rolling the body over. Identification is not helped by the lack of a head. Next room is the barracks; racks of weapons line the walls, but happily this time there are no further bodies. "No survivors here", says Verthes, "The guards were already dead, or are accounted for. But the kitchen slaves and servants might still live. The tower cellar?". The door of the cellar is barred shut. [I'm assuming both survivors are now in the great hall rather than the gatehouse, as Ryzar suggested - makes much more sense. Ignore references to one of them still being in the gatehouse :)] -- Tim Hall, timjh (at) compuserve.com * http://www.kalyr.com * Generate your own supergroup at http://www.kalyr.com/music/bandomat.htm
