With a nod and quick gesture, Jaldaric requests Kylar to make a
stirrup with his hands, and lofts himself towards the hatch.

The hatch opens with a creak, revealing a low storage area, mostly
dark but illuminated by a couple of shafts of light from missing roof
tiles.  He hears movement and seens the outline of at least one
figure; he's conscious of eyes staring at him in the darkness.

"Who are you", says a cultured voice out of the darkness.
