After a pause which seems like an eternity, the three of them climb
down the ladder, one by one.  First down is the one who Jorg
identified as Ulkarlyn the Priest.  He's a tall even for a kandar; and
still an imposing figure despite his presently unkempt appearance.

The other two are a youngish human with straw-coloured hair, and a
delicate-looking young kandar woman who Jal realises is heavily
pregnant.

The three all regard Jorg with considerable suspicion, especially the
girl.

"The creature is gone now", Ulkarlyn tells her, "These me say they've
killed it; I can't feel it's presence any more, so I believe them".
