Leaving the animal to it's fate, the six people continue along the
trail, making do with the food they brought with them from the castle.
They encounter no travellers on the trail, although there's plenty of
evidence of animal life.
No oversized spiders are to be seen.
Late in the day Ryzar and Duplar both see smoke rising from beyond the
next hill. As they approach the brow of the hill, two men armed with
bows step out in front of them.
"Halt!", says the taller of the two.
