As she makes her way to the scene, she keeps her eye out for anyone associated
with any of the big crime groups -- even Rataxe's people. They're probably the
only ones with any juice who give a damn if this place burns down, she thinks
grimly. She wonders how easy it would have been for someone like the Knights of
Kardak to bribe a firebug. Pretty easy, she concludes.

The pall of smoke seems to come from the very top of the Anthill; the
very heart of the twisting alleys.  It will prove difficult to fight,
and it's questionable to what extent the City Guard (who's role
encompasses fire-fighting as well as public order) will be prepared to
those narrow alleyways.

There are confused accounts of the precise nature of the fire, but
there are many saying that people are trapped.
