"Well, hell," Dharak mutters. "Plenty of time to probe its mind when we're safe back in Calbeyn. Duplar, you said this was a reconnaissance mission, so lets reconnoiter already so we can get the *multiplication* out of here." "Jal, let's you and I go over to that machinery first. Ryzar, you and Duplar cover us with your sidearms, since you're better shots with those than I am with this thing," he says, hefting the weapon he took from the cat-man. "Sister, you and Kylar can watch the prisoners -- and our backs. Once we reach the thing, at least Duplar should follow us -- he'll need to make a full report to his Mechanist masters." Ryzar agrees with the big man's attitude, yet Ryzar still looks towards Reylorna, before acting. "My Lady?" Ryzar asks the Witch deferentially, "Do we withdraw with the knowledge we've gained so far, or do we press on..." Ryzar indicates the blue-lit, humming-machine filled chamber with a wave of his empty hand, "...and see what further damage we may yet do to our enemy's cause?" Ryzar pauses to await the Witch's answer; his demeanor is not one of any kind of "personal vassal" towards Reylorna -- it is more like he just expects her to "know" the correct course of action. "We press on, I think", Reylorna replies. "Use your powers of the mind to keep in touch with them", Kylar suggests, "Will avoid shouting across the cave, and attracting the attention of any more of them". Dharak, in a semi-crouch, begins stealing toward the source of the blue glow, followed by Jal. Dharak merges into the shadows as he creeps forward, but Jal is rather more visible as they approach the blue-lit machinery. Dharak, in a semi-crouch, begins stealing toward the source of the blue glow, followed by Jal. They approach the blue-lit machinery. A great number of boxes and machines are scattered around the chamber, linked by heavy cables. The most prominent is a large arch-shaped device, far taller and wider than a man made of a dull, grey metal. A great many of the heavy black cables converge on it's base. Then the sound of footprints can be heard from a side passage. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
