Reylorna stifled a small scream as she shared her opponent's pain, just before putting the lady to sleep. She briefly thought that this wasn't like any exercise she had experienced at the Academy. Never had she felt another's pain so clearly. Dharak curses under his breath and ducks behind the machinery. Dharak hopes that, by getting out of the telekinetic's line of sight, he'll release himself from his enemy's mental grip. With all his strength, he points the weapon at the floor; he finds little resistance; but as soon as he tries to raise it again, he finds the grip on the weapon resumes - maybe the robed figure just doesn't want to be shot at. *Take out that telekinetic, the robed one* he mindspeaks to Reylorna and Duplar. *And sister, send up Kylar. Two are down, but they've called in two big, ugly friends with axes.* The bard hastily shifts position, trying to keep the works between him and the weapon - which can't be a good thing to have pointed at one - and work his way close enough to attack. He sees the human aiming and squeezing the trigger, so Jal desperately throws his parrying dagger; not a move he's used to. Jal's thrown dagger hits it's target, spoiling his aim; an angry red beam goes wide, missing Jal and hitting some machinery which explodes in a shower of sparks. Kylar joins the fray, taking on one of the beast-men in hand to hand combat; he's forced on to the defensive by the massive axe blow, only his warrior's trained reflexes saving him from losing an arm. Duplar takes aim at the robed figure; his first lightning bolt misses by a hairsbreadth, then the lightning wand is pulled out of his hand and flung across the room. Rather than trying to affect another who probably has a great deal stronger mind, she turns to try and put one of the so called BeastMen to sleep, hoping they will turn out to be an easier target. She is certain that she doesn't want them to have a chance to attack her friends. She senses a great resistance, but is able to enter the animal-like mind of the creature The second beast-man tries to slice Ryzar in two with his axe; but at the very last moment it stumbles, drops it's axe, and falls across the control panel of the machine. The machinery begins to emit a lout throbbing noise. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
