Rotemdol tries calling for someone with medical skills. "How bad is he?", a black-uniformed Karazthani asks. "Broken leg", Banjo shouts back. The Karazthani shouts something to someone else at the other end of the street, then turns back to Banjo and Rotemdol. "Keep him stable, we'll get back to him". "You should get to the Temple of Valarna", Rotemdol tells the wounded man, "They will be able to treat this easily. I will try to visit you later". Rotemdol does what he can to make the man comfortable. Eventually two men, probably local anthill-drellers, arrive with a stretcher, accompanied by a Karazthani. "We'll have to move him", says the Karazthani, "This isn't a safe area, we need to use blasting charges to bring down the next building and make a clear firebreak". Carefully they lift the man onto a stretcher. "If you need anything done that a climber can do let me know", Rotemdol asks, although he's quite satisfied to be a spectator while the pros are working. Zul observes the way the Karazthan are fighting the fire. From what she seems and overhears, it seems they're preparing to use 'charges' to blow up some buildings that can't be saved in order to create a firebreak. For those areas they think they can save, they're spraying water using large pumps mounted on the power-waggons, drawing water from the river below. The city guard are largely absent, but the anthill denizens are pitching in, largely following orders from the Karazthani, something which surprises her to some extent. -- Tim Hall, http://www.kalyr.com "It's a fine line between stupid and clever" - Spinal Tap
