No matter how many times the web pages refer to it as the "robot" 
or the "server," people try to carry on a conversation...

(If you'd *like* to carry on a conversation with a 'bot, the new critter 
(available at robot@phoenyx.net whenever I'm not hacking on the 
software) incorporates the Chat::Eliza module... no telling whether 
I'll leave it in the production model or not.)
