I knew they'd come in threes... -- Karen J. Opening scene: You were laying on the window sill, soaking up the morning rays of sunlight, when suddenly the world seemed to spin around you. A dark tunnel, spiraling down, with flashes of blue and red here and there, like falling though the center of a tornado. Suddenly, it's all over. You are in a strange and elaboratly decorated room, books and scrolls everywhere. On a shelf, high abvove you, is a large crystal ball, the small, claw-shaped bowl holding it is of pure gold and studded with gems. There are other's around you. Some of their coats are unusual colors, most any color you can think of. *Good, you've all arrived!* a voice, in your head it seems, calls out. A small black cat, his eyes a shining silver color, leaps down from a desk where he had been sitting, peering at a book. He looks more built for speed and grace thatn strength, and is slender and well-toned. *Oh, dear. The portal must have warped your fur. Sorry about that. Time-world travel can be funny that way.* He smiles. *You CAN communicate with your minds, you know. Just think of what you want me to hear.* You try it. It worked! He smiles again *I am Silvershadow, but you may call me Shadow. My name is quite long. I'll make this short. My master, Jierdan, an elven wizard, had been stolen. Well, kidnapped. And I need your help to get him back. A man who calls himself The Master of Darkness had taken him, for some vile reason. Wants to kill him. But we can't let that happen. Jierdan is the guardian of the gates between worlds. If this 'Master of Darkness' conqures my world and masters the ability to use the portals, like the one you came through, your world will be next.* he shudders. *Creatures like Elves and humans and goblins are easily detected by the man. But cats, now, we have the gift of stealth. So,* he says, *shall we begin our search?* Okay, well, the players are just ordinary cats of any breed from anywhere in the world today. A few are warped by the telepotation, and can be any color with any markings. They posess the ability of Telepathy, through Silvershadow's magic, and can be of the class Healer, Warrior, Cleric, Ranger, Psionist, or Wizard. Histories are not needed (they're cats, after all) but full descriptions of appearance and personality is required. Pictures are good. I have been playing in PBEM's as a DM and Character for the past three years. I've had two years experiance as a player in regular AD&D before that, and am currently trying Shadowrun and Deadlands. I mostly played Drow as characters, and am a totally Drizzt-obsessed R.A.Salvatore fan. Not much else to it.
