RE: Frequently and Newly Asked Questions

I'm noticing the occasional "Hey everybody, I was thinking of starting a
game. If anybody's interested, I'll get a list over at [insert freebie
service du jour] and we can play!" Apparently many list subscribers don't
have any idea that "phoenyx.net" at the end of a mailing list name means
anything roleplaying-specific (okay, so I wasn't thinking like a marketing
person FOURTEEN YEARS AGO when I picked the name...oh dopey me). What
would be everyone's feelings on a periodic (monthly?) posting (or a
standardized FAQ entry, for those of you who have them) just to say "This
address, Joe-Bob Sez Check It Out" kind of thing? Violent objections?
Apathy? Confusion?

>>>>I don't have any problem in mailing something to those on my list on a
monthly basis or so.

I think that the main question though is what are you hoping to achieve with
them? The quality of most of the applications for hosting games has been truly
dreadful. I'm wondering whether it would accomplish much just to get thousands
of not very good applications coming through.

Just my initial thoughts anyway.

Bye for now,

Nick
