Well, here it is, Jan 1, 2000.  We're still here.  The system hasn't
collapsed.  The net seems to be intact.  Can't ping microsoft.com, though.  

What am I doing?  Writing web pages while waiting for a brisket and some
chicken breasts to finish in the barbeque smoker.  What a way to spend the
last hours of a year, decade, century, and millenium.  (Or the end of the
year before... whatever.)  Y2K is here... nobody's bombed anybody that
I've heard of yet.  Power's still up.  Water's still running.  Stock
market didn't crash.  There was no shortage of cash.  (The govment printed
extra.)  Haven't even heard of any riots or bombings or nothin'.  (That
was my biggest fear... not computers, but stupid people.)

Anyway, have a good one.  I'm looking forward to the Phoenyx having one of
its best years yet.
