Discussion, mostly technical, about running Phoenyx groups goes here. Hypotheticals and wishlists go in stakeholders.

Inferno: The PBeM?

I'm in the process of reading Dante's Divine Comedy, I had an idea that
I thought I would toss around. I am currently involved in a PBeM game
here at phoenyx, so I won't be able to try it out myself, at least not
for the next several months. But how does this sound?

The game takes place entirely in Hell. The characters have died
somehow, and all share the same sin of being an essentially okay person,
but not believing in God. So they find themselves in the upper circle
of Dante's Hell, and as a group, find a way to the very center where
they can escape to Purgatory. Of course, this is Hell, so they witness
a whole slew of atrocities, and the characters must face the facts that
there is not only a God, but the type of God that exists in their
universe.

Now, this game would take place in a world that (I hope) is much
different from reality. But there are tremendous opportunities for
character development in a storyline like this, even though they have
all already died.

Let me know what you think. :)
