It's surprising how little amount of good information there is on PBeM
gaming on the web - I haven't found much that isn't already linked off the
front page already.
I'd like to suggest the following article from Salon.com:

It compares the pros and cons of PBeM's versus MUD's. I think that PBeM's
come off very favorably.
