This isn't really news anymore, but I just debounced Hotmail, so you'll see it in your status reports. Sigh. For those unfamiliar with the continuing stooooory, Hotmail periodically rejects mail that a normal site would just delay. This kicks them off the Phoenyx lists (they get a regular nag asking them to resub or confirm that they want off, and most come back). This happens often, and there's no really good solution. Other than going back to what we once did, and banning Hotmail subscriptions up front. (Thoughts? This won't prevent anyone from subscribing, but the hassle may make them think twice and not bother.) (This just in... while I was writing this, Hotmail started bouncing again. So I'm leaving it alone. They'll get nags.) I may just write a loop into the error handler that will turn around and resend the message. Dunno what this'll do to server load, though.
