Carl and I are sitting in the family room (which is upstairs... er, on the ground floor. It's a bungalow, with semi-finished basement) typing happily away on our respective computers. This has several effects. 1) I can now completely neglect the housework and work on Phoenyx code. Well, okay, not really... the family room's in the back of the house (a converted back porch, actually) and the playroom's off the living room (in a peculiar space created when the basement stairwell was moved... have I mentioned that the house has been remodeled/added onto at least three times?), so Nathan would pester me a lot. But I *will* be able to code more, without having to wait for him to go to sleep. 2) We can have Euro-friendly chats. We might be there this Saturday afternoon, in fact. 2 pm CST? Which would make it, um, 7 pm GMT. Probably not a formal chat, but we'll see if it works. 3) Now we don't have to run upstairs mid-chat when the munchies strike... this may not be a *good* thing. We still have some rough edges to file off (my computer is hanging out on the external network, probably being portscanned as we speak), but it's mostly accomplished. Now why didn't I run the stupid stereo wire while I was in the aptly-named crawl space? -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
