No chat tomorrow night... we're going to see Bob the Builder Live, as I think we've mentioned before. Happy happy joy joy. You can always chat without us, of course. I've been wandering around looking at other MOOs, especially enCores. I'm trying to find a theme that doesn't seem strained, but that can support multiple genres. (Our present theme consists of a courtyard, a pub, an office building, and an auditorium. Rather utilitarian.) I ran across one (and didn't mark the link) that was a space station, which was kind of interesting. One could do some interesting things with ships (entire sets of rooms "docking" with the central set, then "landing" on various planets). And, of course, you'd need a transporter, for those times when you want to get there instantly. The other idea would be to stick with the geographical (buildingographical?) model, and add in a library. One of the suggestions back when we were using the Jay's House core was to have books (defined as containers) that held rooms (the individual gameworld) and character sheets (with custom coding so that the character sheet could transform the MOO-character into the game-character (changed descriptions and all) and move them into the rooms within the book. That would involve some coding. I'm open to other ideas. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Game(s): The Whole Phoenyx Listowner tools are found at http://www.phoenyx.net/listowners/
