I should probably dig through the records to find the years, but the Phoenyx has had a history of April 1 announcements and changes. Not jokes, either... we went 24/7 on the web on an April 1, and IIRC our first domain name (phoenyx.wichita.ks.us) was registered on an April 1. (Phoenyx.net broke the pattern, being a November change. Though I suppose that means that it became official on an April 1 when the old domain expired.) I was really wishing for an April 1 rollout of the new software, but I knew that was kind of unrealistic. I'm moving from coding into alphatesting right now, and things are looking good, but not *that* good. So there's no really nifty April 1 announcement for 2004. Now, in the past I've done some "We're shutting down the Phoenyx" announcements, so I won't rerun that. Except to say that we probably are... no foolin'. But it's the *Phoenyx*. We *have* to burn it down now and then.
